Housing New Zealand is making more efficient use of its land to increase the pace and scale of housing supply throughout New Zealand.
During the month of December and January, Housing New Zealand celebrated the completion of 55 new homes throughout Auckland. These new homes will home up to 294 Aucklander’s.
All new homes are insulated with double glazing which makes homes warm and less expensive to heat. Energy efficient lights, showers and taps are installed throughout and each home is designed to take full advantage of the sun to create living spaces that are warm and light wherever possible.
Housing New Zealand has over 100+ redevelopments either underway or planned under the Auckland Housing Programme. Here is a visual update on three redevelopments underway in the Auckland suburb Birkdale. All three sites are at different stages of the build process; however they are making good progress. Between the three redevelopments, we are building 40 new homes!
Construction begun on the Kerrs Road development. This will deliver 2 four-bedroom units replacing two 1930's houses.
