Tenants in one of the newest HNZ redevelopments in Christchurch gathered for a pot luck lunch recently.
Organised by Tenancy Manager Lynley and Stakeholder Relationship Manager Ray, the event aimed to bring tenants of the Eveleyn Couzins together.
The re-development is a two-stage project with the first stage – 23 single units, officially opened in July this year while the second stage- 14 two-bedroom, two-storey units is due to be completed later this year.
Tenants met on a stunning spring afternoon and chatted about their lives, their experiences in the new development.
They mingled with each other, HNZ staff and enjoyed sharing good conversation over great food.
Lynley said it was a great opportunity for staff to meet with tenants to see how they’re settling in.
The site is one of the largest re-developments in Christchurch and an example of how HNZ is making better use of its land.
There were previously eight older houses on the land which have been replaced by modern warm dry homes, designed to help tenants live well in their homes.
The development design included a furbished common room which acts as a base for tenants to meet and mingle. Lunch was served in the common room which has fast become the hub of the re-development.
The property is close to social services and community amenties and other facilities.
