Housing New Zealand provides state houses for those in the greatest need, for their time of need. We own or manage more than 69,000 properties throughout the country, including about 1,500 houses used by community groups. Some of the properties we rent out are leased from private property owners.

We also help people make the move from renting to owning their own home, by providing a range of home loans and home ownership services.
