Pacific Capacity Fund

Housing New Zealand has set up a Pacific Capacity Fund (‘the Fund’) to support community groups to provide housing and housing support for Pacific peoples.

Housing New Zealand’s Housing Strategy for Pacific Peoples (Orama Nui) identifies the need for Pacific communities to have strong and long-lasting partnerships to provide housing solutions.

The Fund enables Housing New Zealand to work in partnership with groups to develop housing solutions and build their capability.

The fund is $178,000 every year for three years and will be used to support up to four projects over those three years. Funding allocated to each project will be negotiated on a project by project basis.

To be eligible for funding, both the organisation and the proposal must be able to deliver practical housing solutions for Pacific peoples.

If you wish to discuss the Fund and be sent an application form, please contact Housing New Zealand’s Nari Auelua on 04 439 3542.
