Often having a stable home can make all the difference, as Upper Hutt tenant, Natasha, has demonstrated.
Natasha came to Housing New Zealand with an emergency need for housing as she was pregnant, 17 years old, had nowhere to live, and no income.
Having settled into a suitable home early in 2007, Natasha started a training course with Hutt Valley Teen Parents School. She has now graduated with levels 1 and 2 of NCEA as well as certificates in travel and tourism, and pregnancy and childcare.
