Community Groups - Overview

Community groups and organisations make a vital contribution to housing in New Zealand. The Government is committed to supporting them to increase their involvement in providing social housing. The main vehicle for this is the Social Housing Unit.

The umbrella organisation for the not-for-profit community housing sector, is Community Housing Aotearoa.

Tāmaki Transformation

The Tāmaki Transformation is the largest urban regeneration programme in New Zealand. It is unique in its commitment to achieve partnerships between the community, central and local Government agencies and private investors.
