New Chief Executive for Housing New Zealand
22 January 2013
Housing New Zealand’s new CEO Glen Sowry started this week and on his first day was warmly welcomed by Board members and Auckland staff.
At the welcome, Glen said he is really looking forward to spending as much time as possible over the next few weeks getting out and about and meeting as many staff and stakeholders as possible.
Glen said this will also include having a good look at the Crown’s second largest asset, the $15 billion dollar state housing portfolio of 70,000 state rental properties across the country.
He will also visit Christchurch to meet with local stakeholders and go into the residential red zone as well as viewing some of the earthquake damaged houses that have already been repaired and re-tenanted.
Mr Sowry joins Housing New Zealand after spending the last ten years at Air New Zealand where he was at the forefront of driving innovation and change with a focus on customer service.
